Meet the Doctors
Dr. Brian Swanson
I am a 2012 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry. I graduated with honors and continue to be an active member of professional organizations including the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Washington/Ozaukee County Dental Society. Additionally, I have been a proud member of the Slinger-Allenton Rotary Club since 2013.
Family dentistry was my chosen path in dentistry because I am passionate about working closely with families and developing lasting relationships with those patients. Dentistry is an ever-changing profession which is why I make continuing education a priority throughout the year. This allows me to continue to provide my patients with exceptional care.
As a dentist, I strive to provide my patients with an upbeat, relaxed atmosphere that will facilitate a memorable dental experience for them.
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my wife, Amber and our daughter, Ava. I also enjoy golfing, traveling, and making memories with our friends.
Dr. Daniel Banks
I’m originally from Colorado. Born and raised in Fort Collins which is just north of Denver. I stayed close to home and went to undergrad in my hometown at Colorado State University and dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver. I joined the Army after dental school and served for 5 years as an Army Dentist in Tennessee and Washington. I’ve been married for almost five years to my wife Amy who is currently studying to be a Pediatric Dentist at the Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and continue to expand my skill set through many continuing education courses every year. In 2019 I will complete my board exam to be certified in Dental Sleep Apnea Treatment and I will also complete a mini-residency in implant placement. I’m currently a member of the American Dental Association, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors hunting, hiking, camping, kayaking. I also enjoy watching and playing most sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey(although I’ve never played hockey). I’m excited to be in Wisconsin and experience everything the state and the region have to offer.

I am a diplomat of the American Board of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as a member of the Wisconsin and American Dental Associations. For many years, a large part of my practice has been endodontic treatment and I have completed many hours of continuing education in this area. I am excited to join the staff of Swanson Family Dentistry and provide this service to our patients.
I live in Wauwatosa with my wife Son Hyo and our son, Christopher. When not busy with Christopher’s activities, we enjoy traveling, biking and good restaurants.
